PERSONAL PROFILE

My entrance into the field of conscious caregiving came to me quite unexpectedly. Over 25 years ago, I was suddenly entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of two nurturing and loving family members who gave me their unconditional love while raising me as a child.

This journey led me into a world where I had to quickly learn and harness all the tools necessary to become a responsible and knowledgeable caregiver and advocate. It is not easy to see loved ones experiencing the debilitating disease of dementia and the progressive signs of Alzheimer's; however, as my journey unfolded my experiences were life-changing. I was inspired to provide the highest quality care possible and to create an environment of love, patience, and understanding so that their remaining time on earth would be experienced with the utmost dignity.

My final transformation was appreciating and being extremely grateful for the opportunity to spend part of my life witnessing the final chapters of an extraordinary Human Being I call My Father.

These profound experiences were very instrumental in my creation of ‘The Comforting Path’.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

~ OVER 25 YEARS IN THE HEALTH & WELLNESS INDUSTRY ~

I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) specializing in the study of the Body, Mind, and Spirit concept. My philosophy is “You’re never too old to benefit from eating nutritious food for the body, a caring environment for the mind, and a spiritual force that supports us all”.

Over the years I have counseled clients of various ages, specializing in the elderly, and found it a very pleasant task identifying foods, nutrients, and supplements that are especially beneficial to those suffering a decline in cognitive health.

With the rising incidents of diabetes within the elderly population, special eating programs were implemented to maintain the natural homeostasis of the body which in turn helps to regulate blood sugar levels.

~ FIVE YEARS AS A FITNESS & LIFESTYLE MANAGER ~

Physical assessment programs were conducted to determine the level of activity that would ensure the care and safety of each client.

Gentle, passive resistive exercises to prevent osteoporosis and help maintain bone density.

Lifestyle programs were designed to encourage a high degree of mental and visual stimulation supervised in a friendly supportive environment.

It is with great passion and spiritual understanding that I offer my guidance and professional experience as a Comforting Caregiver to help all who deserve to live out their golden years in peace and dignity.
